Animal symbolism:

Oiseaux/Birds: in general, birds are a symbol of hope and freedom; with their nestlings, they represent the family. When identifiable, which is not always the case, they each have their own meaning. Since Noah and the Flood, the dove has been the symbol of peace; the stork is the symbol of fertility; the peacock, an attribute of Hera, is a symbol of immortality but also of pride and vanity.
